Math
This week we continued using our addition strategies, such as Triangle Math and Number Lines, to solve some word problems. Students had to use a strategy to solve the problem, then use a different strategy to check their answers, and write a sentence explaining their answer.
Literacy
Comprehension: Feelings, clues, and inferencing
This week students worked on identifying and empathizing with character feelings and then discussing the impact these feelings might have on the future actions of the characters and how those actions may be different if the emotions were different.
Charlotte’s Web
We had a wonderful field trip to Charlotte’s Web at the Martha Cohen Theater. Thanks to all the volunteers. Please ask your kids what their favourite moment was and why.
