IMPORTANT: MATH, SCIENCE AND SOCIAL TOPICS

WEAR YOU PAJAMAS ON THURSDAY! AND BRING A STUFFY AND A FAVOURTIE BOOK TOO!

MATH:
PLACE VALUE STRATEGIES FOR ADDING AND SUBTRACTING DOUBLE-DIGIT NUMBERS
Please ask me about how we are exploring equations on our place value charts!

SCIENCE:
Units: Liquids and Hot and Cold Temperatures

We have discussed what thermometers are, how they can be used, what measurement is and how we measure heat! We also did an exciting experiment yesterday where we used thermometers to check the temperature of ice water and hot water. We then blended the icy and hot water to try and create room temperature water. We purposefully used eye droppers to measure how much of each we used!

SOCIAL STUDIES: IQALUIT, NUNAVUT
We finished watching a video about Iqaluit, Nunavut and sketched everything that we could remember about Iqaluit's Land, Animals, People, Language, Goods, Stores, Weather. We also have been working in centres where we get to inquire more deeply into each of these topics!

LITERACY WEEK GUEST SPEAKER
Our guest speaker was Mrs. Sparks for Book Week today! She read us, " The Very Last First Time" by Jan Andrews.
