Social Studies

We read the book, "Dog vs. Cat"

Discussion: What is Data vs. Information
How do we gather data? How can we represent it?
Is it useful? Does it tell us anything? Do we have more questions?

Math
In Math this week we created journal book covers that explored information about ourselves. We used our knowledge of math calculations and equations to represent this information.  Ask me about my equations for my height, head circumference and name.

IRIS
This week we also signed into IRIS and added a new goal or goals that we want to achieve. Ask your child to sign into their IRIS account and show you their goals.

Art
We also designed and sketched one half of our face using our knowledge of symmetry, measurement and shape. We used soft artist wrists and light, short lines to assess our drawings as we went along. These works of art will become the covers of our Visual Sketchbooks/journals.
