(Part 1 of 3) Winter Sky: students used their knowledge of concentric circles and colour mixing to create a gradient of blue. Acrylic on raw canvas or heavy Mayfair paper. We used sponges and round brushes. Stay tuned for the final art piece :)

Here is a preview of what is upcoming over the next few weeks with 2D shapes. We will also be continuing our work with multiplication and understanding/applying it in the context of an amusement park!
LITERACY:
As we continue to build our knowledge on the genre of fairytales, students are 'voraciously' reading a large variety of such stories in order to begin to see patterns. Here are some ways in which they have been organizing and documenting their ideas around the elements of a fairytale, as well as mapping the story parts.
Science:
As we finish up our Rocks and Minerals unit, we are excited to begin our Hearing and Sound unit, ending with a field trip to the National Music Centre in January 2020! Stay tuned for more info :)
