Upcoming Dates: Dec. 16 - 19 last day of school before the winter break Sock collection for Inn from the Cold will be ongoing all week – those wanting to send in new socks to donated to those in need at Inn From the Cold please drop them off at the office.  Mon, Dec. 16 – Crazy Hair Day with Rock Music Tues., Dec. 17 – Royal Oak Blue Day with Blues Music; Report Cards available on line – details below Wed., Dec. 18 – PJ day  Thurs., Dec. 19 – Caroling AM (11:15) Caroling PM (1:15) & Festive Wear– to ensure we are meeting fire code regulations for the gym, classes for caroling will be: 11:15 Caroling - Parents welcome to come sing along - EDC, Kindergarten, Ms. Craig, Ms. Reynolds, Ms. Vogan\Boston, Ms. Gierl, Ms. McDonald, Ms. Cook, Ms. Libbey, Ms. Plaxin, Ms. Fournier 1:15 Caroling - Parents welcome to come sing along - EDC, Kindergarten, Mr. Sandberg, Ms. Lagrana, Ms. Bennett, Ms. Devereux, Ms. Perry, Ms. Daniels, Ms. Mercer Dec. 20 - Jan. 5 Winter Break - No School Mon., Jan 6 - School is back in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe A big thank you to all the parent volunteers who helped us to meet our field trip ratios during our trip to the play.  Reports from the students said that the play was fabulous.   Report Cards We will be moving to online report cards this year.  This will help us save much needed money for other items within the school.  At the end of the day on December 17th, PowerSchool will allow parents to log in and see their child’s report card for this first term (see directions below).  Your child’s report card can be printed or saved for later viewing.  For those that feel they need a hard copy, please contact the office for this request.    How to Access Digital Report Cards Sign into your My CBE/PowerSchool at My CBE/PowerSchool Account Click on your child’s name at top of page Click on “Grades and Attendance” Click on “Report Card” Click on “Report Card – open” Save to pdf or print for your records Volunteer Check in at the office We love our volunteers and appreciate all that you do for our school and students.  This is just a reminder that often teachers are in meetings before school and at lunch and sometimes they are talking about confidential matters.  We would ask that you please wait in the office until we can confirm with the teacher that it is okay for you to proceed down to the classroom.  Absence Line Messages We would like to remind all parents that if your child will not be attending school for any reason, please call the absence line on a daily basis to report your child’s absence.  The absence line is available 24/7, so you can call prior to the start of the school day at 403-777-6279. Please speak slowly and clearly from a quiet location, and provide the following information: Student Name (first and last) - Please spell your child’s last name Teacher Name Reason for absence We appreciate your assistance in helping us record accurate attendance details - Judy Parking in the Neighborhood This is just a friendly reminder – please do not block homeowners’ access to their driveways.  We have had some complaints and would appreciate your understanding around this request.  Thanks for your understanding Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
